Collective Imagination playbook

In advance of the Imagination Infrastructuring event we hosted in June, we collated a ‘playbook’ for collective imagination. The playbook was our way of acknowledging and bringing to the table the rich and sprawling field of collective imagination. Like an underground web of fungal mycelium, collective intelligence draws on and feeds into many intellectual and practical root systems, unable to be traced to a singular practitioner and with a foothold in everything from participatory arts, to collective intelligence, to playing in public space. Some of it is about imagining the future, some of it is about reinvigorating the present. The playbook seeks to encompass some of that sprawl, looking at the different approaches to and framings of collective imagination that spring from different sectors and fields.

The playbook is a live, open document that can be added to by anyone with an interest in the work of the collective imagination. We’d love as many people as possible to contribute.
